SUMMARY:Colin Dale Park Raceway PEV Morning August 2026
DESCRIPTION:Atomic EV is excited to announce PEVs are now allowed regular practice and race sessions on the new FIA-approved raceway at the Colin Dale Park in Auckland. The Raceway has generously allowed us a three hour morning session in August. \nAs there will be a wide mix of rider experience and PEVs present we’ll split the morning between: \n\nopen practice sessions for any riders to experience and get familiar with the track at their own comfortable pace\,\nsome initial test races requested by rider groups during the morning (based on rider numbers\, abilities and/or type of PEV) where only that group of riders will be on the track (so get your groups organised).\n\nWe want this to be an inclusive community event where everyone feels welcome and safe\, and all riders are able to get the most from their time at the Raceway. \nRiders should arrive at 9:00am with their PEVs and appropriate protective gear\, attend a safety briefing and sign the waiver (late arrivals can wait for the next briefing). We’ll have an inspection of each PEV to check it is ready for the track (axle/wheel bolts tight\, tyre pressure\, batteries charged\, pushback suitably set\, no dangerous protrusions) and that your gear is appropriate for your intended speeds. \nHelmets and pads are an absolute must\, and full-face helmets and certified protective gear for anyone riding at higher speeds or that wants to participate in a race. \nOpen for small PEVs\, including all electric skateboards\, electric unicycles\, onewheels and electric scooters (sorry but for safety we can’t include larger vehicles such as electric motorbikes). \nThe Raceway is requesting each rider pay $18 for the morning which you can pay via Atomic EV prior to the session. \nPay the rider session fee here. \nAs this is a weather dependent event\, in case of rain the event will be postponed and payment credited to the next session (or refunded on request less any card payment fee). \nSpectators are very welcome at no charge and can observe from flag stations within the Raceway. For safety spectators can only cross the track when indicated by a race marshal. The Park would appreciate us sharing videos and photos of our session with them so bring your camera crew and fans. \nParking will be at the main entrance carpark\, although pickups and dropoffs can happen at the Raceway entrance.
