Flite

Flite is the world’s leading manufacturer of eFoils based in Byron Bay (Australia) and founded in 2017 by former kite-surfing world record holder David Trewern. Flite have sold over 13,500 eFoils worldwide.

Flite has built the world’s largest range of eFoils since their first commercial release in 2018. Their range includes the easy riding Flitescooter and the AIR, popular and dynamic Fliteboard, adrenaline inducing PRO, the acrobatic ULTRA, and the world’s lightest performance eFoil ULTRA L2 – a stunning board for catching every wave.

In September 2023 they announced the result of their collaboration with designer Marc Newson, introducing the stunning Flite X range of eFoils with carbon masts and colour controller. In 2024 Flite introduced the Series 4 Flite AIR and AIR PRO inflatable eFoils at budget-friendly prices, and a new conical wing range, now available through Atomic EV.

New in the Series 5 for 2025 is the option of the Flite Jet 2, a much improved jet impeller (whose motor is not compatible with the propeller/true glide/folding prop/flite jet modules), and a yet to be released new eFoil model.

In July 2025 FLITELab* started introducing the AMP boards with either the AMP Jet for powered takeoffs and hybrid eFoiling, and the unpowered AMP RAW. See the FLITELab* unpowered and assisted foil range.

Being the largest eFoil importer and reseller in New Zealand, Atomic EV offers the full Flite and FLITELab* range at the same prices as in Australia. No additional markup for the New Zealand market, hidden fees, nor shipping charges. This saves our customers around $900 per purchase.

Flite EFoils

Learn to ride at our Fliteschools

People learn how to ride a Flite eFoil at an authorised Fliteschool. Atomic EV runs all the Fliteschools in the greater Auckland region, across a wide range of locations with experienced eFoil trainers. We have a range of Flite eFoils to suit most people’s skill levels, from novices to intermediate eFoilers.

Whether you want to learn one-on-one, as part of a small group, are looking for an exciting corporate or private event, or want an eFoiling experience as part of a larger package in a stunning location, we’ve got you covered through our Fliteschools.

Flite Servicing

Flite eFoils must only be serviced at qualified Flite Service Centres. We run our own Flite Service Centre with the maximum level 3 Flite-certified service engineers and maintain local stock of parts to get you back on the water sooner if issues appear. The initial 1 year/100 hour and ongoing 1 year/100 hour (whichever comes first) Flite eFoil service requires the eFoil (mast), Flite Controller and True Glide Prop (if purchased) be serviced.

It is important to consider when purchasing a Flite eFoil what will happen when something goes wrong, which unfortunately can happen when water and electromechanical components meet. While some places might be eager to get a sale, it is important your purchase is backed up by technical expertise and parts to get you back on the water quickly. Its frustrating when a rider has to wait months hoping for issues to be resolved overseas after spending money for a premium product.

Atomic EV has the largest stock of Flite parts in New Zealand and most service queries come back to our service centre. We are also the only FLITELab* reseller in New Zealand that has an authorised service centre, and we prioritise getting our customers back on the water as quickly as possible.

Atomic EV is a Flite Gold Partner and authorised reseller and has the largest range of Flite eFoils, accessories and FLITELab* components available in New Zealand. Flite Warranty

Atomic EV provides high-quality personal electric vehicles and gear that we test and use ourselves. We want our customers to have the same confidence in our products as we do.

Flite provide a limited two year warranty covering defects in the materials or workmanship of the product but not impact damage to the board or wings. The fliteboard limited warranty requires the fliteboard to follow a service schedule.

Customers who purchased their Flite eFoil through Atomic EV can just contact us directly with any concerns or warranty claims. Other customers instead either contact Flite Australia directly at +61 2 51189888, or first via the place of purchase. Some common issues can be resolved over the phone, and more complex issues Flite then refers to Atomic EV for most NZ customers.
