Warranty and Returns

Atomic EV provides high-quality personal electric vehicles and gear that we test and use ourselves. We want our customers to have the same confidence in our products as we do.

Warranty

Except where explicitly stated or excluded by the manufacturer as indicated, our range include warranty for defects in workmanship and material for a minimum period of 12 months from the purchase date.

Some of our manufacturers extend this warranty period to two or even five years in some cases. Even outside of the warranty period we will endeavour to provide technical support and replacement parts for our customers, so that you can continue enjoying your purchases from us for many years.

Each manufacturer has specific warranty conditions, inclusions and exclusions. Most PEV manufacturers have exclusions where there is evidence of water ingress, even when the product has a stated IP rating, and exclude components subject to normal wear and tear. They also have more restricted warranty periods for batteries, as battery life can be significantly reduced when used or stored improperly. Please speak to us about how to ensure you maximise the lifetime of a battery.

  • Aerofoils provide a two year warranty for the Audi e-tron foil by Aerofoils, covering material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee excludes normal wear and tear, improper or abusive treatment, failure to observe any safety precautions, use of force (e.g. beatings), do-it-yourself repair attempts, and environmental influences (heat, humidity, etc.)
  • Evolve offer a comprehensive 12 month warranty on their boards. The warranty excludes some items subject to normal wear and tear, shipping damage, theft, use of product outside of intended use, misuse or negligence, use in unauthorised environments (such as resulting in water damage), unauthorised disassembly or alterations, or failure to comply with any user manual or Evolve guidelines.
  • Flite provide a limited two year warranty on Flite components and one year on FLITELab* covering defects in the materials or workmanship of the product but not impact damage to the board or wings. The fliteboard limited warranty requires the fliteboard to follow a service schedule. The initial 1 year/100 hour and ongoing 1 year/100 hour (whichever comes first) service requires the eFoil (mast), Flite Controller and True Glide Prop (if purchased) be serviced, undertaken at an authorised service partner such as Atomic EV.
  • Fungineers provide a one year repair or replace warranty for the motor, controller, BMS, and battery (except in cases of user error).
  • Inmotion provide an all-inclusive warranty for EUCs of one-year (or longer on newer models) on charger, controller, and motor, and six-month warranty on lights, Hall sensor, bearings, and battery. Other items that can be damaged through use such as pedals, axle, switches and buttons are excluded.
  • KingSong provide an all-inclusive warranty for EUCs of one-year on charger, controller, and motor, and six-month warranty on lights, Hall bearings, and battery. Other items that can be damaged through use such as pedals, axle, switches and buttons are excluded.
  • Manta5 provide a two-year warranty on their hydrofoilers, including the chassis, front and rear foils, motor, gearbox, and the lesser of a one year or 250 charge cycle warranty on the hydropack battery. The warranty excludes improper use of the hydrofoiler, excessive or abnormal use, crashes, physical impacts, collisions or fire resulting from non-manufacturing processes, damage or defects from transport, unapproved modification, improper maintenance or servicing, wear and tear, damage due to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures, commercial use, or if the serial number is removed.
  • Mavic Brothers offer 12-month warranty on defects, excluding normal wear and tear, misuse, exposure to water, bearings, tubes, brushings, battery, grip tape, and wheels.
  • Meepo offer a six month warranty on their boards by default, which Atomic EV extends to twelve months for boards purchased through us. The warranty excludes some items subject to normal wear and tear, such as belts, wheels and grip tape.
  • Knox provide a standard one-year warranty for garments and five-year warranty on the microlock armour within garments.
  • Leatt provide a minimum one-year warranty on their gear, excluding normal wear.

In case of any issues please contact us at Atomic EV and we’ll do our best to resolve it ourselves either directly or liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf so you can get back to riding as quickly and hassle-free as possible.


Returns

If after assessment we determine a product to be defective or not fit for purpose it can be returned to us. We will promptly discuss options for either repair, replacement, or provide a refund. If a returned product has been used or damaged in a manner excluded by the warranty terms then the return may not be accepted.

All consumer purchases made in New Zealand retailers are covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act. This means that products must be fit for their normal purposes, acceptable in finish and appearance, free from minor defects, safe and durable. Please note as part of the Consumer Guarantees Act, we do not cover the cost of return shipping. Products can not be returned because buyers may have changed their mind on a purchase, but we may offer an exchange or store credit at our discretion.
